I got tired of getting around Beijing on foot, so I am now the proud owner of a brand-new Chinese bike. It can't change speeds and it's a bit unstable on turns, but it's sturdy, and overall it's a better bike than most of the ones I've seen on the street here.

Hey Kevin,
How do you like China? What program are you participating in?
I'm here with HBA; unfortunately the Light Fellowship doesn't cover Yale-sponsored programs. But I think I've done a good job of learning to live with Harvard students.
And China---well, China is polluted and crowded and absolutely wonderful.
